#SportNews : Paul Pogba rejected Chelsea move after Juventus accepted €85m offer [Gazzetta]

With Chelsea seemingly undertaking a pretty underwhelming summer transfer window, a lot of stories are emerging about their lack of transfer activity.

There was plenty of talk surrounding Chelsea’s supposed move for Juventus star Paul Pogba in August, but at the time it felt like a lot of hot air.
On Friday, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport splash with the claim that Paul Pogba rejected a move to Chelseadespite the fact Juventus had accepted a whopping 85 million euro offer.
The offer from Chelsea was made on August 24th and that night Pogba sat with his agent Mino Raiola to discuss moving to Stamford Bridge.
Pogba decided to stay at Juventus in order to help The Old Lady back to their feet after losing stars Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal.
Despite a yearly salary of 4.5 million euros, Gazzetta add that Chelsea owner Ramon Abramovich also offered Pogba a huge wage increase.
Whilst there has been talk of Pogba now costing in the region of 100 million euros, Gazzetta claim at the end of this article that the price has already risen for the French midfielder to 120 million euros.
Both Juventus and Chelsea have struggled at the start of the 2015/2016 season. The Old Lady have lost both their opening two Serie A matches and Jose Mourinho’s side have claimed one win in four Premier League games.
