Liverpool starlet Jordon Ibe to hold talks with Bournemouth after clubs agree £15m fee

Ibe’s future has come under the spotlight in recent months, after falling out of favour under Jurgen Klopp towards the back-end of the campaign.

Ibe initially excelled under the stewardship of the German tactician and one of the highlights of his season was a Man of the Match performance away at Rubin Kazan, in which he scored the only goal of the game.

However, Ibe’s form began to grow wayward as the season went on and the former Wycombe Wanderers youngster did not do his cause much good by dropping hints about his unhappiness on social media sites.

Squawka reported in May that ​Liverpool were open to selling Ibe​, and it appears the departure of Matt Ritchie has urged Bournemouth to swoop for the England U21s international.

The Reds have received an offer of £15m from Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side, according to the Liverpool Echo, which has been accepted.

It is also reported that Ibe has now been given permission to hold talks with the south coast outfit and must now decide whether to head for Bournemouth, where regular first-team football will be more freely available.

While Klopp may be criticised for his move to sell Ibe – Liverpool are hardly blessed with a plethora of wingers at the moment – the £15m offer in many supporters’ eyes sounds too good to refuse.
