Edo pensioners protest unpaid entitlements, threaten to shun poll

 

 

Retired civil servants, under the aegis of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, on
Monday staged another protest over the non-payment of their pension arrears by
the Edo State Government.

The aged protesters, who defied the heavy rain, carried various placards bearing
inscriptions which read, "give us our pensions benefits," "pension benefit
are economic and human rights [...]
