Sport News : Daniel Sturridge now has a better goal ratio than any other Liverpool striker in PL era

Daniel Sturridge was back with a bang yesterday, scoring a brilliant brace to help Liverpool to a 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
And how Sturridge was needed: with Christian Benteke injured, Liverpool suddenly looked threadbare in attack and looked like struggling for goals.
Having just come back from a long injury layoff, there was not a lot of expectation on Sturridge, but he laughed off suggestions he’d need time to get back into gear by ripping Villa’s defence to shreds.
He’s been so plagued by injury in recent years (he suffers an injury on average once every four games) that it’s often forgotten just how lethal a player he is.
Last season he became the quickest striker to have reached 50 Liverpool goals, surpassing the likes of Ian Rush and Michael Owen in the process.
And his brace yesterday aslo padded up his goals ratio: he is now the most prolific Liverpool striker in the Premier League era, with goal every 1.65 games (albeit he has played less games than the rest).
