The romantic born Ghanaian Nigerian actor and producer or better put Gollywood (Ghana’s film industry)/Nollywood (Nigerian film industry) actor, born to a Liberian mother, fathered by a Dutch man (blessed memory), lost his father at a tender age of 6, the demise of Van Vickers father automatically made his mother his Hero as once stated in one of the interviews, he said he got so close to his mother as nothing passed by without involving his heroic mother.

Van Vicker also got a job as a television personality for TV3 Ghana in 1997, he worked there for 2 years, also got another job as a TV Personality and work at  Metro TV Ghana between 2000 and 2004 and worked there for 4 years. His professional career has always been tied to the media. Vicker appeared in his first TV series known as Suncity, a Ghanaian Television series, which was all about the university life, this made Van Vicker more noticeable and catapulted him to the real movie scene, Van Vicker’s first movie Divine Love, though not as a lead actor, but as a supporting character.
He then went ahead to star in hosts of romantic movies before making a ground breaking Nollywood entry. Grounding breaking in the sense that Nollywood when compared to Ghollywood is like comparing granite to gravel, Nollywood is way bigger in all aspects of film production, marketing and sales, when compared to Gollywood. He has starred in many Nollywood movies, alongside Nollywood ‘A’ list actors and actresses.
